I find Born This Way Offensive

Now, I'm aware most people barf rainbows for anything to do with this song and think it's a great song for the LGBT community and raises awareness, but I disagree. I happen to dislike this song, a lot.

My problems with Born This Way:

This is a very, VERY serious topic that affects so many people and so many families. It covers a variety of things, from family and friend acceptance, to accepting who you are, to the common belief that homosexuality is wrong and you are therefore sick because "God forbids homosexuality and it's a sin", this also concerns the political aspect of homosexuality, gay marriage being the biggest of this. What about society? What society thinks of homosexuality, bisexuality, being transgender, pansexual, asexual, polysexual, and any other type of sexuality and gender difference than the normal Male-Female-Straight. These are all very BIG issues that affect individuals and families alike…. And it has been turned into a pop song? A song for people to dance to in clubs, get drunk to. Playing on pop radio stations alongside a lot of nonsense songs. I'm sorry, but this topic is serious, and not the material of a pop song.

This song also does not cover everything, if it's supposed to be a song about being who you are and being beautiful in the way you were created, not being ashamed. Well what about Asexuals? Pansexuals? Polysexuals? Are they not included in being "Born This Way"? Right, they must choose to be that way. Lady Gaga didn't include them in her song, so therefore they are exempt of being beautiful and not a mistake of god. Sorry guys, you're out of luck. What about atheist homosexual/transgender/ ect people? Well if they don't believe in God, this must not count for them, since this is pretty much God-oriented.

It seems a little fake, and just another avenue to get fame with. Turning such a big media-centered topic into your next single. That'll draw the critics.
If she had turned this into a song more like Speechless, something that you can actually take seriously, rather than a dancy song like Love Game, Just Dance, or any of her other singles, it might actually be decent. But she didn't and I honestly find it offensive. The matter of whether or not I was born lesbian and should be accepted for who I am because I'm beautiful, is not something I want playing at a club in the background as people dance, get wasted, and have a good time. This is serious.

The god-awful video. I'm sorry but I also hated this, too. For one, as I've stated, this is a SERIOUS issue. At least make an attempt to make a fucking meaningful video, rather than prance around in your underwear and associate us with aliens. I'm sorry, I didn't know I was an alien and I wasn't aware Lady Gaga created me. Must've missed the memo on that one, too.

I think that about sums it up. We all have our opinions, so Little Monsters, save your breath and arguments.
